How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Project & Maintenance Manager
    Location: Bradbury Electrical, Unit 4 Tungsten Building, Portslade, BN41 1RA.
    Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
    Salary: £45,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance
    Job Type: Full-time
    About the Role
    We are looking for a driven, organised and people-focused Project & Maintenance Manager to join our team.
    This is a hands-on management role responsible for coordinating our domestic and commercial electrical works, supporting the installation team, managing customers and agents, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, professionally and to the required standards.
    You will be a key point of contact between our electricians, customers, landlords, letting agents and the office, so excellent communication and people-management skills are essential.
    Key Responsibilities
    Manage the day-to-day workload of the installation team and ensure jobs are allocated efficiently.
    Coordinate domestic and commercial electrical works from initial enquiry through to completion.
    Liaise with tenants, landlords, letting agents, clients and electricians.
    Answer incoming calls and manage the installation inbox, ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly.
    Schedule installations, inspections, follow-ups and other site visits.
    Prepare quotations and ensure jobs are progressed efficiently.
    Draft, review and issue electrical certificates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with BS7671.
    Monitor job progress, deadlines, quality and customer satisfaction.
    Coordinate with site supervisors and electricians regarding priorities, technical or procedural queries and ongoing works.
    Manage online portals and keep job statuses, schedules and customer communications up to date.
    Deal professionally with customer queries, complaints and issues.
    Monitor small projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines, quality and compliance are maintained.
    Identify and escalate issues that could affect compliance, customer satisfaction or project timescales.
    The role requires someone who can confidently take ownership, make decisions and keep multiple jobs moving at the same time.
    You must have:
    Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience within the electrical industry
    Strong administration and organisational skills
    Excellent people and communication skills
    Proven management / leadership experience
    Experience across domestic and commercial electrical works
    Driven, proactive and self-motivated personality
    Full UK driving licence
    Lives within approximately 30 minutes of the office
    Able to work 8:00am–5:00pm reliably
    Strong ability to manage multiple jobs, priorities and deadlines
    Good understanding of electrical compliance, certification and BS7671 requirements
    Confident dealing with customers, contractors, electricians, landlords and letting agents.
    Desirable Experience & Qualifications
    The following would be advantageous:
    Previous experience in a similar Project Manager, Maintenance Manager, Contracts Manager, Electrical Supervisor or coordination role.
    Experience managing electrical projects from start to finish.
    A recognised electrical qualification.
    2391 Inspection & Testing qualification.
    Previous experience reviewing electrical test certificates and working with BS7671 requirements.
