How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Kitchen Designer – Handmade Kitchens / Bristol, On Site / £28,000 to £32,000 Per Annum D.O.E
    Are you and experienced Kitchen Designer looking to further your career with an exciting brand? Then look no further, Olive & Barr is one of the UK’s fastest-growing handmade kitchen brands, known for beautifully crafted, bespoke kitchens and a highly personal design-led approach. This spring, we opened a brand-new showroom in the heart of Clifton Village, Bristol, and we are looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer to join the team.

    Package & Opportunity on Offer:

    A competitive basic salary of £28,000 to £32,000 per annum depending on experience.
    Excellent commission structure — realistic OTE of £60k+
    Monday to Friday 09:30 – 17:30 and Saturday 10:00 – 17:00.
    Saturday working is on a 3 out of 4 basis over a 4 week period.
    28 Days holiday including bank holidays.
    Nest Pension - 5% Employee contribution and 3% Company contribution

    The Role of Kitchen Designer:

    Designing and selling bespoke handmade kitchens
    Managing your own sales pipeline from initial enquiry through to order
    Working with a combination of national enquiries and local showroom walk-ins
    Delivering an exceptional, consultative customer experience
    Using Winner Flex or similar kitchen design software
    Skills and Experience Required:

    Minimum 2 years’ experience designing handmade kitchens (essential)
    Proven experience in a design-and-sales role within the kitchen industry
    Confident managing your own pipeline and closing sales
    Strong design eye with excellent client-facing skills
    Comfortable working independently as well as in a team
    Experienced using Winner Flex or comparable software
    Have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car
