About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to support a major industrial mechanical and piping project.
The role will be responsible for ensuring quality requirements are met throughout construction, with a strong focus on documentation, inspection, welding, NDT and material compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review Quality Plans, ITPs and QA/QC documentation.
Provide quality support to engineering and construction teams.
Review supplier and subcontractor Quality Plans and ITPs.
Coordinate material certification, welding, NDT and inspection requirements.
Liaise with Welding Engineers, Project Engineers and site teams.
Coordinate inspections with third-party inspectors and clients.
Monitor quality performance against project KPIs.
Maintain accurate quality records and documentation.
Raise and manage quality issues and continuous improvement actions.
Support internal and external quality audits.
Ensure project activities comply with specifications, standards and quality requirements.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a QA/QC Engineer within mechanical, piping or construction projects.
Strong understanding of ITPs, Quality Plans and inspection processes.
Knowledge of welding, NDT, material certification and traceability.
Experience working with third-party inspectors and client QA teams.
Strong understanding of construction quality requirements.
Excellent organisational and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently within a site-based project environment.
Experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, process or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
Qualifications
HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred.
Relevant QA/QC experience will be considered.
Relevant quality/inspection qualifications such as CSWIP, PCN, NDT or equivalent are advantageous.
Valid Safety Passport required

£250.00 - £500.00 per day
