How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    THE ROLE
    As an Experienced Panel Technician, you will be responsible for repairing accident-damaged vehicles to a high standard, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer repair methods.

    You'll work as part of a skilled bodyshop team, carrying out structural and cosmetic panel repairs while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, productivity and attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Assess and repair damaged vehicle panels using appropriate repair techniques
    ·Carry out panel replacement, alignment and structural repairs where required
    ·Undertake dent removal, welding and panel straightening to a high standard
    ·Use specialist bodyshop equipment and repair tools safely and effectively
    ·Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians and Workshop Controllers
    ·Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed production times
    ·Inspect completed work to ensure repairs meet required quality standards
    ·Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and quality-focused Panel Technician with a strong background within automotive accident repair.

    ·Proven experience as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician within an accident repair bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and accident damage repair techniques
    ·Experience with panel replacement, straightening, welding and alignment
    ·Ability to work accurately to manufacturer repair methods and specifications
    ·Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
    ·Ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment
    ·Good understanding of modern vehicle construction and repair techniques
    ·Conscientious, reliable and professionally presented
    ·Strong team player with a positive and professional attitude
    ·IMI / ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
