Our client, an established independent bodyshop based in the Southend-on-Sea area, is looking to recruit an experienced Bodyshop Stripper/Fitter to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bodyshop experience who is confident in both strip/fit and preparation work.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Stripping vehicles carefully and efficiently, avoiding any additional damage
* Re-fitting panels and components using new and existing parts
* Carrying out vehicle preparation and minor repair work prior to paint
* Masking and protecting vehicles using appropriate materials
* Ensuring all work is completed to a high-quality standard
* Using tools and equipment safely and correctly
* Liaising with the parts department to order required components
* Working to deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail
Your Background & Skills:
* Proven experience working within a bodyshop environment
* Strong strip and fit experience essential
* Experience with vehicle preparation and repair work
* Ability to work with heavy materials in a physically demanding role
* Able to prioritise workload and meet targets
* Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Full UK Driving Licence required
