How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Ready for your next contract assignment with a highly regarded London law firm? This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Revenue Controller to join a collaborative and forward-thinking finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working within a respected organisation known for its people-first culture, you'll play a pivotal role in a major billing transformation project while taking ownership of end-to-end revenue processes. If you're looking for a long-term contract that will add a prestigious name and valuable project experience to your CV, this could be the ideal next move.

This is far more than a traditional billing role. You'll be heavily involved in the rollout and optimisation of an upgraded practice management system across the business, acting as a key point of expertise and helping shape billing processes, templates and best practice. Alongside project work, you'll manage the billing cycle for a specialist practice group, partnering closely with stakeholders to drive efficient WIP management, accurate billing and exceptional client service. It's a fantastic opportunity to combine BAU responsibilities with meaningful change-project exposure.

You will bring strong legal billing experience, ideally with with hands-on expertise in Aderant Expert Billing and e-billing platforms. You'll enjoy building relationships with partners and fee earners, have excellent attention to detail and thrive in an environment where your expertise is genuinely valued. This role would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, influencing process improvements and making an immediate impact from day one.

In return, you'll join a business that has built a reputation for its supportive culture, collaborative approach and investment in its people. With modern Central London offices, hybrid working, excellent professional development opportunities and a strong emphasis on wellbeing, this represents a rare chance to secure a high-quality 12-month contract with genuine variety, visibility and responsibility. For candidates seeking their next assignment with a firm that values expertise, flexibility and teamwork, this opportunity should not be missed.
