How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

A leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their established project management team. The successful Project Manager will bring strong commercial sector experience and take responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of projects for high-profile clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who enjoys commercial schemes but would also like the opportunity to broaden their experience across other sectors.

The Project Manager will manage projects through the full lifecycle, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful delivery against programme, budget and quality objectives. While commercial experience is particularly important, the Project Manager will also have the opportunity to work across other sectors where this is of interest. The role would suit a confident Project Manager looking to develop within a large, well-established consultancy while gaining exposure to a broad range of projects and clients.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

    The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will take ownership of projects from initial brief and feasibility through design, procurement, construction and completion.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing and managing programmes, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, chairing client and project meetings, monitoring project risks, overseeing procurement and contractor performance, and providing clear progress reporting.

The Project Manager will primarily work on commercial schemes, while having the opportunity to gain experience across additional sectors depending on project availability and individual career interests.

    The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will ideally have:

Previous Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
Strong experience delivering commercial property or construction projects
Experience managing projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle
A relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or progress towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
Good understanding of procurement, programme and project risk
Confidence managing multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
An interest in gaining exposure to projects outside the commercial sector

    In Return?

    £45,000 - £55,000
    Bonuses
Opportunity to work with major commercial clients
Exposure to a varied portfolio of projects
Opportunity to gain experience across additional sectors
Professional development and support towards chartership
Clear progression within an established multidisciplinary consultancy
