The successful Project Manager will be capable of delivering smaller projects with limited assistance while supporting Directors on larger and more complex schemes. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. The consultancy is particularly keen to support the successful Project Manager towards RICS chartership, having successfully supported a Project Manager through the chartership process last year.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.
The Project Manager's role
The Project Manager will take responsibility for smaller projects from inception through to completion, while assisting Directors with the delivery of larger schemes across the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors.
Responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, coordinating design teams, managing client requirements, attending project meetings, monitoring progress and supporting projects through procurement and construction. The Project Manager will also build relationships with clients and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy.
The Project Manager
The successful Project Manager will ideally have:
Previous Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
Experience delivering construction projects through different stages
Exposure to commercial, hospitality and/or residential projects
A relevant construction/property degree, such as Project Management, Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying
MRICS, MAPM or progress towards a relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
Strong communication and client-facing skills
The confidence to manage smaller projects with limited supervision
Ambition to progress professionally and achieve chartership
