How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Promoting physical health, fitness and wellbeing
    * Providing occasional classroom/lesson cover

    * Proactive and organised
    * Comfortable working independently while contributing to the wider team

    **Essential:**

    * Experience with children who have experienced ACEs
    * GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English, Maths and Science
    * Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
    * Knowledge of a range of sports
    * Flexibility to support fixtures and extracurricular activities

    A **Level 3 TA qualification, previous school experience or First Aid qualification** would be desirable.

    **Hours:**

    Friday: 2:00pm finish

    Occasional changes to hours may be required for sporting fixtures and school events.

    ### Potential Permanent Opportunity

    The school is looking to appoint someone who can become a valued member of the team. **If, after an initial few weeks, both the school and successful candidate feel the role is the right fit, there is potential for the school to offer a permanent contract.**

    This gives the successful candidate the opportunity to demonstrate their suitability within the role while also allowing both sides to make sure the position and school environment are the right match.
