How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Roto Driver – Edinburgh & Scotland

    Active (Pathways) Solutions is looking for a hardworking, experienced Roto Driver to work on construction projects across Scotland.

    Monday - Friday, 35-45 hours per week.

    Role: Roto Driver

    Location: Edinburgh / Various locations across Scotland

    Duration: Ongoing

    Pay rate: £20.00 per hour

    Payment: LTD or CIS

    Must have CSCS or CPCS and NPORS. Previous experience working on substations would be ideal.

    Duties and responsibilities of the role

    * Operating a Roto/Telehandler safely and efficiently on site

    * Loading, unloading and moving materials around the site

    * Assisting trades and site teams with material movements

    * Carrying out daily checks on the machine

    * Following site health and safety procedures

    * Working safely around other site personnel and plant

    * Following instructions from the Site Manager and supervisors

    Skills and attributes (desirable)

    We are looking for someone who is an excellent team worker and familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures. You must be able to follow written and spoken instructions and be capable of working with minimal oversight while following directions closely.

    * Valid NPORS qualification

    * CSCS and/or IPAF certification

    * Previous experience operating a Roto/Telehandler on construction sites

    * Experience working on substations would be highly desirable

    * Good understanding of construction site health and safety

    * Reliable, punctual and hardworking

    * Flexibility to work across different locations in Scotland

    About you

    You must have relevant Roto/Telehandler experience and be able to provide references. You must hold the required qualifications, including CSCS and/or IPAF and NPORS, and have a good understanding of site safety procedures
