An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Legal to join our client, a diverse multi-site group, during a significant period of change and transformation. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Executive Leadership Team, this role offers a unique blend of strategic influence and hands-on legal leadership.
We are looking for a readily available candidate with extensive in-house commercial property and real estate experience, combined with broader legal expertise across commercial and corporate law. Experience of advising Boards and ELTs on legal and governance matters, and experience of managing external legal advisers is also essential.
**Due to the immediate requirements of this role, we are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who are available immediately or can join within a short notice period.**
Key Qualifications & Experience required
- UK qualified solicitor
- Significant post-qualification experience, including substantial in-house experience
- Demonstrable experience in property and real estate law, including development, leasing and disposals
- Experience within a multi-site environment, supporting or leading mergers, restructures or other complex corporate transactions
- Advising Boards and Executive Leadership Teams on strategic legal and governance matters
- Commercially minded with excellent contract negotiation skills
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver pragmatic legal solutions
