How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Employee Relations & People Engagement Partner

    Salary: 50-55k + Excellent Benefits

    Remote with limited travel

Our client is a large, established organisation with a strong people-focused culture and a significant operational workforce. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Employee Relations & People Engagement Partner to join their HR team.

This is a varied and influential role for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with operational leaders, providing pragmatic employee relations advice and helping shape people policies, engagement initiatives and best practice across a geographically dispersed workforce.

    The Role

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor on complex employee relations matters, while also contributing to wider people initiatives across areas such as wellbeing, inclusion, reward and employee engagement.

Working closely with HR colleagues and operational management, the role will involve providing expert advice, improving consistency across the business and supporting managers in dealing confidently and effectively with challenging people situations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide commercially focused and legally sound advice on complex and escalated employee relations matters.
    • Support managers and HR teams with disciplinary, grievance, absence, redundancy and other sensitive employee cases.
    • Manage and support employment tribunal matters, working alongside external employment law specialists where required.
    • Build effective relationships with employee representatives and support the resolution of workplace disputes.
    • Review and develop HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain legally compliant, practical and aligned with the organisation's culture.
    • Deliver engaging training sessions to managers and HR colleagues to strengthen employee relations capability.
    • Provide guidance and support on wider people initiatives including wellbeing, inclusion, reward and employee engagement.
    • Contribute to HR projects and wider cross-functional initiatives.
    • Analyse employee relations data and identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
    • Share best practice and support consistency across different areas of the organisation.
    • Provide on-site support for particularly complex or sensitive employee relations situations, sometimes at short notice.

    About You

This role would suit an experienced Employee Relations professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-site environment and can balance sound employment law knowledge with a practical, commercial approach.

    You will ideally have:

    • Strong experience advising on complex and escalated employee relations matters.
    • Previous experience managing employment tribunal cases.
    • Experience working with trade unions or employee representatives and resolving workplace disputes.
    • Experience designing and delivering employee relations training.
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise senior stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation, planning and organisational abilities.
    • A highly analytical and solutions-focused approach.
    • Resilience and the ability to remain calm when dealing with sensitive or high-pressure situations.
    • Excellent IT skills.
    • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

    What's on Offer?

Alongside a competitive salary, our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including:

    • Generous annual leave plus bank holidays.
    • Employee and lifestyle discounts.
    • Enhanced family-friendly leave.
    • Learning and development support.
    • Long-service recognition.
    • Employee reward and recognition schemes.
    • A range of wellbeing and charitable initiatives.
    • The opportunity to work within an established organisation where HR has a genuine influence on the wider business.
