How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Continuous Improvement Lead

    Location: Cornwall

    Salary: Circa £75,000 + 15% Bonus

    Relocation Support: Up to £8,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Continuous Improvement Lead to join a leading manufacturing organisation currently experiencing an impressive period of growth, investment and transformation.

This is a senior and highly influential position, taking ownership of the Continuous Improvement strategy across the site. Working closely with the Site Leadership Team, you will identify opportunities, challenge existing ways of working and embed a sustainable culture of Continuous Improvement throughout the operation.

This isn't simply about delivering individual improvement projects. We're looking for someone who can build capability across the business, coach and influence senior stakeholders, and create a structured CI roadmap that delivers measurable and sustainable improvements.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Lead and develop the site's overall Continuous Improvement strategy and roadmap.
    • Drive improvements across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Productivity.
    • Develop and manage a strong pipeline of improvement opportunities aligned with site priorities.
    • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, Daily Management, 5S, Standard Work, TPM, SMED and structured problem-solving activities.
    • Analyse operational KPIs to identify performance gaps and translate these into clear improvement plans.
    • Partner with the Site Leadership Team to establish priorities and deliver tangible results.
    • Coach and develop managers and employees in Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
    • Embed effective visual and daily management processes across the operation.
    • Challenge existing processes and drive a culture where improvement becomes part of everyday operations.
    • Ensure improvements are sustained and deliver long-term value.

    What we're looking for:

    • Significant experience in a Continuous Improvement Lead, CI Manager, Operational Excellence Lead, Lean Leader or similar position.
    • A strong track record of delivering measurable improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and structured problem-solving methodologies.
    • Experience developing CI strategies, roadmaps and improvement programmes.
    • Strong analytical capability with experience using operational KPIs to identify and prioritise opportunities.
    • Excellent coaching and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence from shop-floor level through to senior leadership.
    • A hands-on approach combined with the ability to operate strategically and influence the wider direction of the site.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-calibre Continuous Improvement Lead to join a growing business where CI is genuinely central to its future strategy.
