How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    US-Bangla Airlines is the largest private passenger airline in Bangladesh. Launched in July 2014 from its Dhaka hub, the carrier operates an extensive and growing network of domestic and international destinations across Asia and the Middle East.


    Driven by its motto, “Fly Fast, Fly Safe,” the company is continuously expanding its routes and product offerings. This growth is supported by a modern, versatile fleet of ATR 72-600, Boeing 737-800, and Airbus A330-300 aircraft—positioning US-Bangla as a premier regional carrier.


    The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for all airline operational functions to ensure safe, efficient, reliable and commercially sustainable airline operations.


    The role is accountable for operational excellence, fleet reliability, OTP (On-Time Performance), aircraft utilization, safety culture, operational cost optimization and delivering a world-class passenger experience.


    Duties and Responsibilities


    1. Operational Leadership

    • Lead all airline operational departments.
    • Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
    • Ensure safe, efficient and profitable airline operations.
    • Establish operational priorities across all stations.
    • Drive operational excellence initiatives.
    • Ensure effective coordination between operational departments.


    2. Flight Operations

    • Oversee all flight operations.
    • Ensure compliance with Flight Operations Manual.
    • Review operational performance of pilots.
    • Monitor operational safety indicators.
    • Ensure optimum crew productivity.
    • Improve operational efficiency.
    • Ensure adequate flight crew availability.


    3. Engineering & Maintenance

    • Ensure aircraft airworthiness.
    • Monitor fleet reliability.
    • Improve dispatch reliability.
    • Reduce Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
    • Approve maintenance strategies.
    • Monitor maintenance costs.
    • Support fleet induction and retirement projects.


    4. Ground Operations

    Provide strategic oversight of:

    • Passenger Services
    • Ramp Operations
    • Load Control
    • Baggage Handling
    • Aircraft Turnaround
    • Airport Operations
    • Station Management


    5. Cabin Services

    • Establish cabin service standards.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Improve customer satisfaction.
    • Enhance onboard product delivery.
    • Monitor cabin crew productivity.
    • Improve cabin operational efficiency.


    6. Operations Control Centre (OCC)

    Oversee:

    • Flight Dispatch
    • Crew Control
    • Aircraft Routing
    • Flight Monitoring
    • Irregular Operations (IROPS)
    • Disruption Recovery


    7. Regulatory Compliance

    Ensure compliance with:

    • CAAB Regulations
    • ICAO Standards
    • IATA Operational Standards
    • IOSA Requirements
    • Aircraft Manufacturer Requirements
    • Airport Regulations
    • Security Regulations


    8. Operational Performance

    Monitor and improve:

    • On-Time Performance (OTP)
    • Flight Completion Rate
    • Dispatch Reliability

    • Turnaround Performance


    9. Crisis & Emergency Management

    Lead operational response during:

    Education:

    Experience:

    • 18+ years of experience, including a minimum of 10 years in the commercial aviation industry.
    • Previous experience as COO, Director of Operations, VP Operations or equivalent is preferred.
