How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Mobile HGV Technician Role
    We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a world-renowned, multinational company supporting the service, repair and maintenance of specialist Heavy Vehicles

    This role will be covering the North of London and surreounding areas - working with an International Vehicle Manufacturer providing service and repair support for their vehicles in transport depots, airports, MOD Sites etc.

    If you have experience as an Heavy Goods Engineer, PSV Technician/Bus Mechanic, or Heavy Plant Fitter, we would be very keen to speak with you.

    Key Responsibilities of the HGV Technician:

    Service, maintain and repair specialist vehicles at customer sites.
    Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
    Carry out inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance.
    Work independently in a varied, field-based role.
    Use modern diagnostic equipment to quickly identify faults.
    Manage your own service van, tools and parts stock.
    Build strong relationships with customers.
    Receive ongoing training and career development.
    Experience & Requirements the Mobile HGV Technician:

    Proven background in auto-electrical fault diagnosis and repair, including use of diagnostic tools.
    Direct HGV Technician experience
    Hands-on experience working with HGVs and specialist vehicles.
    Competent with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
    Full UK Driving Licence
