How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Murphy is recruiting for a Agricultural Liaison Officer to work with Energy on GGP - ATNC - Norwich to Tilbury

    The role will include liaising with landowners, farmers and occupiers about land interests and arranging access over land for surveys.
    The Agricultural Liaison Officers prime responsibility shall be to liaise with the landowners and contractors involved within the project.

    A day in the life of  Murphy a Agricultural Liaison Officer

    This role will require you to manage the coordination of activities between Statutory Undertakers, Highways Authorities and Land Owners, to ensure the integrated progress of projects with the minimum disruption to the public.
    Promoting a collaborative approach between parties to deliver one message to the communities affected, working for the best outcome for all.
    List and maintain a database of all key stakeholders and interested parties
    Keep all stakeholders informed about the scheme and especially any activities that may affect the public
    Set up exhibitions, arrange meetings and site visits, produce newsletters, leaflets and signage
    Set up and maintain a public helpline to respond to all queries and set up complaints log
    Respond to insurance claims from the community and log them
    Join the Considerate Constructors Scheme and maintain a top score
    Work with local schools, offer safety talks and help with construction related school projects
    Give presentations to professional bodies and be able to respond to vigorous questioning

    Proven experience of working as an ALO for large construction projects/civil engineering schemes
    Experience of contact with land owners
    Pre and post access agreements
    Reinstatement plans
    Knowledge & experience of legal consent / acquisition requirements
    Able to describe procedures to follow during contact with external Agencies / HSE / E.A. / Land owner / third party liaison
    Experience of project commercial and schedule risk management
