I’m supporting an Essex Council with the recruitment of an Estates Surveyor, offering an exciting opportunity for an MRICS-qualified commercial property professional with strong Landlord & Tenant experience to manage a mixed commercial estate.
Estates Surveyor
- Contract: 12 weeks initially, with a strong chance of extension
- Hours: 37 per week
- Location: Essex – 3 days office / 2 days remote
- Rate: £450 day
Key requirements:
- MRICS-qualified Chartered Surveyor (desirable)
- Strong commercial Landlord & Tenant experience
- Experience with rent reviews, lease renewals, lease re-gears and new leases
- Experience managing a mixed commercial/mixed-use property portfolio
- Strong tenant, legal, finance and senior stakeholder management
- Experience with budget monitoring, income forecasting and financial reporting
- Local authority/public sector property experience desirable
The role will focus on managing Thurrock’s mixed commercial estate, acting as the main point of contact for tenants and leading on L&T transactions, while working closely with Legal and Finance around lease documentation, rental income and financial reporting.
