A major international law firm is looking to strengthen its London Corporate Lending team with an Associate or Senior Associate at 3-8 PQE.
The practice is highly regarded for lender-side corporate finance and investment-grade lending, acting for major banks alongside significant corporate borrowers. Their work covers syndicated and bilateral facilities, refinancing, acquisition-related financing and other secured and unsecured lending, often involving multiple jurisdictions. The wider finance also offers exposure to leveraged finance, private credit, fund finance and restructuring matters.
You will substantial responsibility for transactions from term sheet through signing, closing and post-completion, including drafting and negotiating facility and intercreditor agreements, overseeing security workstreams, coordinating local counsel and leading negotiations with counterparties.
This is a particularly client-facing positions and associates are encouraged to develop relationships with key banking and corporate clients, with seniors being responsible for the supervision of junior lawyers and trainees.
Key Requirements:
- 3-8 PQE with strong corporate lending background.
- Training and experience with a leading banking practice.
- Strong facility agreement drafting and negotiation skills.
- Experience managing cross-border financing transactions.
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and counterparties.
