How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Press Brake Operator Summary:
    Due to Retirement, Lancashire Double Glazing have traded successfully for over 35 years and we are looking for a Reliable and Conscientious Worker to un-supervised and operate the CNC Press Brake and other machines within the department , we mainly manufacture flat and angled pressings and a few metal brackets for our sister company LDG Contracts. This role is crucial in the production of high-quality aluminium doors and windows, contributing directly to our mission of excellence in the construction sector.
    Responsibilities as a Press Brake Operator:
    1. Setup and Operation: The operator prepares the press brake for production by selecting the appropriate dies and tools, adjusting settings, and ensuring the machine is functioning correctly.
    2. CAD Drawing Interpretation: They read and interpret technical drawings to understand the specifications of the parts to be produced.
    3. Material Handling: The operator manages the loading and unloading of metal sheets, ensuring they are secured properly for bending.
    4. Quality Control: They inspect the finished products for accuracy and quality, using measuring tools to ensure they meet the required specifications.
    5. Maintenance: Regular maintenance of the press brake is crucial, so operators often perform routine checks and minor repairs to keep the machine in optimal condition.
    6. Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines is essential to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
    7. Collaboration: They must work closely with other team members, to ensure production goals are met efficiently.
    8. Mostly making small aluminium pressings 2mm thick
