How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Team: Join a dedicated team of 5 CAD Data Analysts

    The Opportunity

High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd is recruiting a CAD Data Analyst to join its Digital Engineering team, working across one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD or Data Analyst looking to move into data, digital engineering and information management while gaining direct client-side experience with HS2.

You'll play a crucial role in organising, analysing and assuring CAD data coming into HS2 from across its entire supply chain.

You'll work across the full HS2 programme, including:

    * 4 Main Works Civils contracts

    * 4 new HS2 railway stations

    * 11 Rail Systems contracts

You'll be part of a dedicated team of five CAD Data Analysts, working at the centre of how HS2 manages and assures its engineering information.

Please note understanding how the CAD data is structured and produced is the key to the role.

    A Genuine Career Development Opportunity

This is not simply a CAD checking role.

The previous person in this position has progressed into a CAD Specialist role, demonstrating the genuine career pathway available within the team.

The next step could be CAD Specialist / CAD Data Manager – £60k + package, with further opportunities to develop into broader Data Analyst, Digital Engineering and Information Management roles within HS2.

Be Part of HS2's Digital Future

HS2's Digital Engineering team is involved in some of the most advanced digital engineering work being undertaken on a major infrastructure programme, including the development of HS2's first fully functional digital twin.

The CAD Data Analyst plays an important role in this work.

Before sophisticated digital engineering and digital twin applications can work effectively, HS2 needs high-quality, structured and reliable CAD data from across its supply chain.

You'll therefore be helping to organise and assure the engineering information that supports HS2's wider digital strategy.

    The Role

You'll be responsible for analysing, validating and assuring CAD and 3D model data received from consultants, suppliers and delivery partners.

You'll ensure information meets HS2's contractual, technical and Digital Engineering requirements and is suitable for use across the programme.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Analyse and validate CAD and 3D model data against contractual and project standards.

    * Manage CAD data exchanges through the Common Data Environment (CDE).

    * Organise and assure CAD information received from across the HS2 supply chain.

    * Review information submitted by consultants, contractors and delivery partners.

    * Identify, report and investigate data quality issues and root causes.

    * Determine whether CAD information meets the required standards for acceptance.

    * Support compliance with HS2 Digital Engineering standards, specifications and procedures.

    * Work with Digital Engineering, delivery teams, suppliers and technical stakeholders to resolve information issues.

    * Support data assurance, interoperability and continuous improvement.

    * Contribute to improved processes, automation and more efficient data workflows.

    * Support the wider Digital Engineering team's development of digital engineering and digital twin capabilities.

    About You

We're looking for someone with a strong CAD background and an interest in data and digital engineering.

You could currently be working as a:

CAD Technician / CAD Engineer, CAD Specialist, CAD/BIM Coordinator, CAD Data Analyst, Data Analyst with CAD experience/knowledge, Digital Engineering professional

    You'll ideally have:

    * Experience working with CAD/BIM and 3D model data within infrastructure, construction, engineering or another technical environment.

    * Understanding of how CAD models and engineering information are produced, managed and exchanged throughout a project lifecycle.

    * How the data is strucutred is key not the actual modelling

    * Experience with Bentley, Power BI and IFC.

    * Understanding of BIM, ISO 19650 and information management principles.

    * Good understanding of data quality, data assurance and interoperability.

    * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    * Good communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    * Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams.

Knowledge of automation, scripting, Python or data processes would be advantageous but is not essential.

    Why Join HS2?

This is an opportunity to join HS2 Ltd directly and develop your career within a specialist Digital Engineering team at the forefront of major infrastructure technology.

    You'll gain:

    * Direct client-side HS2 experience across the entire programme.

    * Exposure to CAD, BIM, data assurance and Digital Engineering.

    * Experience working across 19 major HS2 contracts.

    * Opportunity to contribute to the development of HS2's digital twin.

    * A proven progression route to CAD Specialist / CAD Data Manager – £60k + package.

    * Opportunities to develop into Data Analyst and wider Digital Engineering roles.

    * The opportunity to work alongside leading engineering, construction and technology organisations.

If you're a CAD professional looking to move beyond traditional CAD and build a career in data and Digital Engineering, this could be an excellent next step, particularly if you'd like to work directly for HS2 and be involved in the digital future of one of the UK's biggest infrastructure programmes
