How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are seeking an experienced Web Designer and Developer with excellent attention to detail, who has a natural ability to build strong professional client relationships and a passion to bring beautiful, functional websites to life!

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, employee investing company who leads and specialises in the Marketing industry. This role would be perfect for a creative technical designer and developer who is looking for their next challenge to turn great visions into realities and thrive in what they do best.

    Confident in designing in Figma and building in Elementor, as our clients next Web Designer and Developer you will play a pivotal role in building, transforming, optimizing websites for their loyal and growing client base of which you will work directly with.

    Hybrid working, with a minimum of three days per week on-site at their Farnham office or at a client site.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Elementor Development: Build, develop, and maintain high-quality websites using Elementor, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and meet brand guidelines.

    * Elementor Customisation: Leverage Elementor's extensive customisation features to create bespoke, visually striking websites without heavy coding.

    * Design Implementation: Use your design expertise to create original designs and concepts in Figma, then implement aesthetically pleasing websites aligned with brand standards, focusing on both creativity and user experience.

    * Performance Optimisation: Ensure websites built in Elementor are optimised for speed and performance, with special attention to reducing load times and improving SEO metrics.

    * Technical SEO: Implement on-page SEO best practices, including metadata, schema, and other SEO techniques, while integrating with Google Search Console.

    * DNS Management: Handle Domain Name System (DNS) settings to ensure seamless domain management and site accessibility.

    * Analytics Integration: Configure and manage Google Analytics and other tracking tools to monitor and optimize website performance.

    * Cross-Platform Consistency: Ensure websites maintain functionality and appearance across different browsers, platforms, and devices.

    * Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and other stakeholders to develop websites that are both technically sound and visually stunning.

    * Client Communication: Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients on website projects, running kick-off and review calls, presenting design concepts and builds, keeping clients updated on progress, and turning their feedback into clear, actionable revisions.

    * Requirements Gathering: Work directly with clients to scope website requirements, advise on the options and trade-offs available to them, and set realistic expectations on what will be delivered and when.

    * Client Handover and Support: Present finished websites to clients, provide training and documentation so they can confidently manage their own content, and respond to post-launch queries and change requests.

    * Continuous Learning: Stay updated with Elementor's evolving features, as well as the latest trends and best practices in web design and development.

    What You Must Have:

    * Elementor Mastery: Extensive hands-on experience with Elementor for building, customising, and optimising websites with minimal reliance on coding.

    * Web Development Experience: 3–5 years’ experience (mid-to-senior level) in web development, with a primary focus on building WordPress websites using Elementor.

    * Design Proficiency: Strong background in web design, with an eye for detail and aesthetics, including hands-on proficiency designing in Figma and translating those designs into built websites.

    * Technical Knowledge: Experience with DNS management, SEO best practices, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.

    * Responsive Design: Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles, ensuring websites function seamlessly on mobile and desktop platforms.

    * Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges related to Elementor, website performance, DNS, and SEO.

    * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical team members and clients.

    * Client-Facing Experience: Proven experience working directly with clients, including presenting and justifying design decisions, handling feedback constructively, and building trusted working relationships.

    * Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing your work with Elementor, highlighting your skills in developing visually appealing and high-performing websites.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * SEO Tools: Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz.

    * CMS Experience: Experience with other CMS platforms like WordPress (outside of Elementor), Wix, or Squarespace.
