How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The organization supports families who choose home education and schools seeking affordable alternative provision, with structured online live lessons and a strong resource base. Its core package offers weekly online classes, access to an engaging virtual learning environment, regular tasks, and half-termly progress reports to track learner progress. All teachers have at least two years of classroom experience, are fully DBS checked, and are safeguarding trained, ensuring a safe and professional learning experience. Success Academies is also a carbon neutral company and actively offsets its carbon footprint by planting trees in cities.

Teachers will deliver live online lessons, using clear communication and engaging teaching methods to support learners in their chosen subjects. Daily responsibilities include planning and preparing lessons, setting and reviewing weekly tasks, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate records of learner progress. The role also involves collaborating with the wider teaching team to ensure consistency, safeguarding learners, and adapting teaching approaches to meet diverse learning needs. Teachers are expected to use digital platforms effectively, respond promptly to learner and family queries, and contribute to a supportive online learning environment.

For each subject there are only limited hours currently available, but more opportunities will likely present themselves during the academic year.

    • Relevant academic qualification in one or more of the subject areas (e.g., degree in History, Media Studies, Computer Science, Games Development, or related fields).
    • Up-to-date safeguarding knowledge and eligibility for enhanced background checks (such as DBS checks in the UK).
    • Strong organisational skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

    Payment

Success Academies pays teachers an hourly fee of £30. Occasionally admin work will be available, this is paid at £15 per hour.
