How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Site Supervisor – Surveying | 4-Month Overseas Contract | January 2027 Start

Site Supervisor – Surveying | 4-Month Overseas Contract

    📍 Overseas | Contract | January 2027 Start

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead and coordinate a team of surveyors on a major overseas infrastructure project.

The project is scheduled to commence in January 2027, with the successful candidate joining for an initial 4-month contract.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone with a strong surveying background who can take responsibility for the day-to-day management of survey activities, ensuring work is delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

    The Role:

You will be responsible for supervising a team of land and engineering surveyors, coordinating their workload and acting as the key point of contact between the surveying team, site management, engineers and the wider project team.

You will oversee surveying activities including topographical surveys, setting out, monitoring and as-built surveys, ensuring the team maintains a consistently high standard of technical delivery.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, manage and coordinate a team of surveyors on site
    • Plan and allocate daily surveying activities and resources
    • Oversee topographical, engineering, setting out, monitoring and as-built surveys
    • Ensure surveying works are delivered accurately and in accordance with project requirements
    • Review survey data, records and deliverables for quality and accuracy
    • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and survey information
    • Liaise closely with site management, engineers, subcontractors and other disciplines
    • Identify and resolve technical surveying issues on site
    • Ensure survey equipment is correctly maintained, calibrated and used appropriately
    • Maintain accurate site records and surveying documentation
    • Monitor team performance, productivity and progress against programme
    • Ensure surveying activities comply with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
    • Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced surveyors
    • Report progress, issues and requirements to project management
    • Act as the senior surveying presence on site and represent the project professionally

    About You:

We're looking for an experienced surveyor who has progressed into a supervisory or team leadership position and is comfortable taking ownership of surveying operations on a major construction or infrastructure project.

    You should have:

    • Strong experience in land and engineering surveying
    • Previous experience supervising or leading a team of surveyors
    • Proven experience with setting out, topographical, monitoring and as-built surveys
    • Strong knowledge of surveying principles and construction processes
    • Experience using Leica total stations, GNSS and digital levels or equivalent equipment
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
    • Strong understanding of survey data, QA procedures and digital workflows
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • A proactive approach to problem solving
    • Ability to work effectively in an overseas, site-based environment
    • Relevant surveying qualifications or professional accreditation
    • Previous overseas experience would be advantageous but is not essential

    The Opportunity:

This is a 4-month overseas contract commencing in January 2027, offering the opportunity to take a lead role within a major and highly technical infrastructure project.

You’ll be responsible for a team rather than simply carrying out surveys yourself, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Surveyor, Survey Manager, Survey Supervisor or Site Surveying Lead looking to take on an international project.

    Start: January 2027

    Contract: 4 Months

    Location: Overseas

    Role: Site Supervisor – Surveying

    Sector: Major Infrastructure / Construction

If you’re an experienced surveyor with proven team leadership experience and are available for an overseas opportunity from January 2027, please get in touch for further details.
