How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Associate Interior Designer to join our studio. This is a pivotal role for a strong creative leader who thrives on taking ownership of projects from concept through to completion while inspiring and developing the team around them.

The ideal candidate is a true all-rounder—equally comfortable presenting creative concepts to clients, developing detailed drawing packages, managing FF&E specifications, liaising with contractors and consultants, and overseeing project delivery. You will be responsible for leading projects both creatively and operationally, ensuring design excellence is maintained at every stage.

    Key Responsibilities

    Creative Leadership

Lead the creative vision and design direction across multiple projects.

Develop concepts, mood boards, material palettes, and spatial solutions.

Present and communicate design ideas confidently to clients and internal team, including Founder and Directors.

Ensure the integrity of the design vision is maintained throughout project delivery.

    Project Management & Delivery

Manage projects from briefing and concept development through to installation and completion.

Produce and oversee comprehensive drawing packages, specifications, and technical documentation.

Coordinate FF&E schedules, sourcing, procurement, and supplier relationships.

Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.

Monitor project programmes, budgets, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.

    Team Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor and support junior designers, helping them develop both creatively and professionally.

Foster a collaborative studio culture where creativity, curiosity, and design excellence can flourish.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance throughout project stages.

    About You

You are a confident designer with a strong portfolio that demonstrates a truly creative vision and technical expertise. You are equally passionate about great design and effective project execution.

    Skills & Experience

Significant experience in high-end residential or hospitality interior design.

Proven ability to independently lead and deliver projects from concept to completion.

Strong technical knowledge and experience producing detailed drawing packages.

Extensive FF&E sourcing, specification, and procurement experience.

Excellent contractor, consultant, and client management skills.

Proficiency in Vectorworks or willingness to switch from AutoCad, Adobe Creative Suite and Estimac/EstiPC.

    Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

    What We Value

    Creative leadership and design excellence.

    Commercial awareness and practical problem-solving.

The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented Associate Interior Designer who wants to play a key role in shaping both exceptional projects and the future growth of our studio.
