How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Real Estate Associate Solicitor (1–2 PQE) | West End | Legal 500 & Spears Ranked Firm

Are you a Real Estate Solicitor looking to develop your career within one of London's leading real estate-focused law firms?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Real Estate team, advising an impressive client base across both commercial and residential property matters, with exposure to acquisitions, disposals, development, investment and landlord and tenant work.

    The Firm

This firm has one of the most well-respected names across the West End. Ranked in the Legal 500 and recognised by Spears, it has built an outstanding reputation for advising entrepreneurial businesses, property investors, developers and high-net-worth individuals across a broad range of commercial matters.

The firm has enjoyed sustained growth through strategic hires, strong leadership and a clear commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Its collaborative culture is one of its greatest strengths, with lawyers benefiting from genuine Partner access, excellent mentoring and early responsibility from the outset.

Known for its entrepreneurial approach, the firm embraces innovation and modern ways of working while maintaining a personable and supportive environment. Lawyers are encouraged to take ownership of their work, develop strong client relationships and build long-term careers within the firm.

With continued investment across its teams, the firm offers an excellent platform for ambitious lawyers looking to develop their expertise within a growing and highly regarded practice.

    The Team

The Real Estate team advises a diverse client base including developers, investors, funds, lenders, landlords, tenants, owner-occupiers, entrepreneurs and private clients across both commercial and residential property.

The practice covers acquisitions and disposals, development, investment, landlord and tenant, residential sales and purchases and property-related funding, with particular experience across residential and mixed-use development, offices, retail and leisure, PRS and Build to Rent, as well as high-value residential property.

The team works closely with the firm's Planning, Construction, Finance, Tax, Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams to provide joined-up advice on complex transactions and development projects.

The general Real Estate team is led by a long-standing Legal 500-ranked Partner who has been with the firm since completing their training contract and has grown alongside the firm. With over two decades of experience across commercial and residential real estate, they bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise, supported by a number of well-established Partners across both sides of the practice.

    The Role

This role offers the opportunity to develop a broad real estate practice across both commercial and residential matters, working closely with experienced Partners while taking on meaningful responsibility and developing client relationships.

You will have the opportunity to advise on:

    • Acquisitions and disposals of commercial, residential and mixed-use property
    • Property investment and development transactions
    • Residential development, including site acquisitions, development agreements and plot sales
    • Commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters
    • Drafting and negotiating leases, licences, assignments, surrenders and other property documentation
    • Due diligence and property aspects of investment transactions
    • Options, conditional contracts, overage agreements and development agreements
    • PRS, Build to Rent and mixed-use developments
    • High-value residential acquisitions, sales and development matters
    • Working alongside the firm's Planning, Construction, Finance, Tax and Corporate teams on complex transactions
    • Building strong client relationships and developing a commercially focused approach to property advice

This is an excellent opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor looking to broaden their experience across commercial and residential property within a highly regarded West End practice, with varied work, close Partner exposure and excellent opportunities for progression.

    Requirements

    • 1–2 years' PQE (England & Wales) with experience across commercial and residential real estate matters
    • Experience of acquisitions, disposals, development and/or landlord and tenant work
    • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
    • Good commercial awareness and an interest in the wider real estate sector
    • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
    • A collaborative approach and ambition to develop within a growing team

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Real Estate Solicitor to join a highly regarded West End firm, gaining broad exposure across commercial and residential property while benefiting from strong Partner support, early responsibility and a clear pathway for progression.
