How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Brainkind is seeking an exceptional Clinical Team Manager to provide operational and clinical leadership at Stagenhoe, our specialist neurological care centre in Hertfordshire. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving clinical excellence, leading multidisciplinary nursing teams, embedding high-quality care standards and ensuring outstanding outcomes for people living with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.

    Stagenhoe is Brainkind's specialist neurological care service in Hertfordshire, supporting adults aged 18+ with complex neurological conditions and acquired brain injuries.

    Our experienced multidisciplinary team delivers high-quality rehabilitation, specialist nursing and person-centred care within a supportive, therapeutic environment focused on helping every individual achieve the greatest possible independence and quality of life.


    The Opportunity

    As Clinical Team Manager, you'll provide day-to-day leadership across the nursing workforce, ensuring the safe, effective and compassionate delivery of high-quality clinical care.

    Working closely with the Head of Care and wider multidisciplinary team, you'll lead Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, oversee clinical governance, workforce planning, quality improvement and service delivery while maintaining exceptional standards of patient care.

    This is a highly visible leadership position requiring someone who is clinically credible, operationally organised and passionate about developing teams.


    Key Responsibilities


    Clinical Leadership

    • Lead, motivate and develop a team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants
    • Promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability and continuous improvement
    • Act as a senior clinical role model, supporting best practice across the service
    • Ensure safe, effective and evidence-based care is consistently delivered


    Patient Care & Clinical Practice

    • Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans
    • Support admissions and assessments for prospective service users alongside commissioners and external professionals
    • Ensure service users and families are actively involved in care planning wherever possible
    • Maintain exceptional standards of person-centred neurological care


    Operational Management

    • Manage staffing levels, workforce planning and clinical rotas to ensure safe service delivery
    • Provide out-of-hours clinical leadership as required
    • Ensure effective communication across departments and multidisciplinary teams
    • Support the smooth day-to-day operational running of the service


    Clinical Governance & Quality

    • Drive compliance with CQC standards, organisational policies and clinical governance frameworks
    • Lead clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives and service development projects
    • Monitor clinical standards, competencies and performance across the nursing team
    • Support monthly quality monitoring and reporting processes
    • Identify, assess and mitigate clinical risk


    Leadership & People Development

    • Conduct supervision, appraisal and performance management for clinical colleagues
    • Mentor and develop nursing staff, supporting professional growth and continued learning
    • Lead teams through service developments and organisational change
    • Foster an open, supportive and high-performing team culture


    Partnership Working

    • Build effective relationships with commissioners, GPs, hospitals, social care teams and external agencies
    • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, coordinated care
    • Promote effective communication with families, carers and healthcare professionals


    About You

    We're looking for an experienced clinical leader who combines excellent nursing knowledge with strong operational management and people leadership skills.


    Essential

    • Registered Nurse (NMC Registered)
    • Post-registration clinical experience within a healthcare setting
    • Proven experience leading and managing nursing or clinical teams
    • Experience managing workforce planning and staffing within a clinical environment
    • Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and risk management
    • Experience supporting service improvement and quality assurance initiatives
    • Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills
    • Confident decision-maker with excellent organisational abilities
    • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
    • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and web-based systems
