How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The opportunity

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join Stone King’s highly respected Real Estate team, offering the chance to work across a varied and rewarding residential property caseload while supporting clients through some of life's most important milestones. As a Solicitor, Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal advice on residential property matters, working closely with colleagues across our Private Client, Charity, Education and wider Real Estate teams.

If you're an experienced residential property lawyer looking to develop your career within a purpose-driven and collaborative firm, this could be the perfect next step. We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with exceptional client care skills and who enjoys building trusted relationships while managing a diverse caseload of property transactions.

You’ll play an important role in supporting a broad range of clients through residential sales, purchases and related transactions, while also having the opportunity to work on charity property matters alongside specialists from across the firm. Working within a supportive and well-established team, you'll have the chance to further develop your expertise, contribute to business development initiatives and build your profile within a nationally recognised practice.

Based in our Bath office, this role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to join a values-led firm that places collaboration, wellbeing and professional development at the heart of everything it does.

    Why This Role?

    • Join a highly regarded Real Estate team with a strong reputation for client service and specialist expertise.
    • Manage a varied residential property caseload, including private client and charity-related transactions.
    • Work closely with specialists across our Private Client, Charity, Education and Real Estate teams.
    • Take ownership of your work while benefiting from the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
    • Build your profile through involvement in marketing, networking and business development initiatives.
    • Join a purpose-driven firm where wellbeing, flexibility and career development genuinely matter.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, assents, transfers of equity and lease extensions.
    • Advising clients on residential property transactions and delivering exceptional levels of client care.
    • Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal documents and transaction-related paperwork.
    • Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and third parties to ensure transactions progress efficiently.
    • Conducting legal research and staying up to date with developments in property law and regulation.
    • Handling negotiations and resolving issues that arise throughout the conveyancing process.
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and professional standards.
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Real Estate team and wider firm.
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships while identifying opportunities to support clients further.
    • Participating in marketing, networking and business development activities that contribute to the growth of the practice.

    What We’re Looking For

✔ An experienced Solicitor, Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive with experience managing their own residential property caseload

✔ Strong knowledge of conveyancing processes, property law and relevant legislation

✔ Experience handling transactions from exchange of contracts through to completion

✔ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

✔ A proven ability to manage a busy caseload efficiently and effectively

✔ Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

✔ Experience using legal technology and case management systems

✔ A collaborative, client-focused and solutions-driven approach to legal practice

    Desirable Experience

✔ Experience supporting marketing and business development activities

✔ Experience supervising or mentoring colleagues

✔ An established client following (although this is not essential)

✔ Experience working across a broad range of residential property transactions

    Why Stone King?

We’re a purpose-driven, people-first firm that values wellbeing, flexibility and professional growth. You'll join a collaborative and supportive culture where expertise is shared, development is encouraged and exceptional client service is at the heart of everything we do.

Working alongside specialists across our Real Estate, Private Client, Charity and Education teams, you'll have the opportunity to build a rewarding and long-term career while contributing to meaningful work that supports individuals, families and organisations across the UK.

As signatories of the Mindful Business Charter, the Race Fairness Commitment and the Age Friendly Employer Pledge, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive and be themselves.

👉 If you're ready to take the next step in your residential property career with a firm that combines technical excellence, genuine collaboration and purpose-driven values, we'd love to hear from you.
