How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Company Description Rachel Laxer interiors, ltd. Is a New York / Westchester -based interior design studio known for delivering refined, bespoke residential and commercial spaces. The studio focuses on balancing aesthetics with functionality, creating environments that reflect each client’s lifestyle and vision. Projects typically involve close collaboration with architects, contractors, and craftspeople to achieve cohesive, high-quality design outcomes. The team values attention to detail, strong project management, and clear communication throughout the design and build process.

    Role Description Rachel Laxer Interiors is seeking an Interior Designer to join our team. This is a full-time, hybrid position — work from home and in-studio — based in our Scarsdale/Westchester, NY studio, and we are open to a 4-day or 5-day week for the right candidate. The role is ideal for a candidate with a minimum of three years of industry experience, preferably in a high-end residential design studio, who is confident taking ownership of projects from concept through installation.

    The successful candidate is highly organized, a self-starter, and a problem solver, comfortable managing multiple projects with limited guidance while collaborating closely with the Principal and studio team. Candidates must be based in the tri-state area, with travel to project sites and sourcing as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare plans, elevations, and presentations in AutoCAD and InDesign
    • Source and select fabrics, finishes, and furnishings, collecting samples in person
    • Prepare FF&E specifications, schedules, cost plans, proposals, and invoices
    • Track orders and deliveries, resolving issues before they affect a deadline
    • Prepare COIs and handle building alteration and decorating agreements
    • Create custom work orders for suppliers
    • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and building teams, including regular time on site

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years of experience at an interior design firm, preferably high-end residential
    • Degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field preferred
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, plus InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel
    • Design accounting software (for example EstiMac or Studio Designer) a plus; training provided
    • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects with limited guidance
    • A self-starter and problem solver who sees work through to installation
    • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
    • Full, clean driving license preferred
    • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

    Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus discretionary annual bonus.
