How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Introduction

    We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join the team in Dorset. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals with their daily care needs and helping them maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

    About the Role / Objectives

    As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide person-centred support to individuals in a care environment. You will work as part of a supportive team, helping service users with their daily routines while promoting their comfort, dignity and quality of life.

    The role requires someone who is patient, dependable and committed to delivering high-quality care.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support individuals with their day-to-day care and wellbeing needs.

    * Assist with personal care and daily activities where required.

    * Encourage independence and support individuals to make their own choices.

    * Monitor and report changes in wellbeing or behaviour to the appropriate team members.

    * Communicate effectively with colleagues and other professionals involved in care.

    * Maintain accurate and appropriate care records.

    * Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant procedures.

    * Treat every individual with dignity, respect and compassion.

    Requirements

    * Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a healthcare or care environment is desirable.

    * A caring, compassionate and respectful approach.

    * Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    * Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

    * Reliable, responsible and committed to providing high-quality care.

    * Ability to follow care plans, policies and procedures.

    * Relevant qualifications or training, where required.
