How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Stock Condition Surveyor- Contract

    Location: Brighton
    Rate: £33 per every completed survey

    We are looking for experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to support a large housing association with a programme of approximately 400 property condition surveys.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced surveyor looking for a high-volume contract.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for visiting residential properties and completing comprehensive stock condition surveys, recording the condition of key building elements and identifying any required repairs, maintenance or investment needs.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out stock condition surveys in residential properties.
    Assessing the condition of internal and external building components.
    Recording findings accurately using the required survey software/system.
    Identifying repairs, defects and potential future investment requirements.
    Taking appropriate photographic evidence.
    Providing accurate and consistent survey data.
    Working professionally with residents and tenants during property visits.
    Completing surveys to the required quality and timescales.

    About You

    We are looking for surveyors with previous experience in social housing, housing stock condition surveys, property inspections or building surveying.

    You should have:

    Previous stock condition surveying experience.
    Good knowledge of residential construction and building components.
    Strong attention to detail and accurate reporting skills.
    The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
    Good communication and customer-facing skills.
    Your own transport and the ability to travel between properties.
    Appropriate professional qualifications or relevant surveying experience.
