How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quantity Surveyor - London Location: West London Type: Permanent, Full Time

    We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading property services organisation in Westminster, London.

    This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused QS with experience in Social Housing / Responsive Repairs & Maintenance to take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple projects from award through to final account.

    The Role

    You will be responsible for:

    Managing the commercial performance of multiple projects.

    Producing and managing CVRs, forecasts, cash flow forecasts and commercial reports.

    Managing client and subcontract accounts through to final account.

    Carrying out site visits and surveying duties.

    Managing procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.

    Evaluating variations, extensions of time, remeasurement and loss & expense claims.

    Ensuring strong commercial control and identifying risks and opportunities.

    About You

    NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.

    Strong experience within Social Housing / Responsive Repairs & Maintenance.

    Proven experience managing CVRs and Final Accounts.

    Excellent commercial and financial management skills.

    Knowledge of FRAs and/or K&B programmes is desirable.

    A full, valid UK driving licence.
