Key Responsibilities
* You will play a key role in ensuring the Council’s buildings and housing stock meet all relevant statutory, regulatory and safety requirements. You will oversee compliance programmes, inspections, testing, risk assessments, remedial works and contractor performance, providing clear assurance and advice to senior management.
* The role will involve working closely with Housing, Property, Health & Safety, Building Safety and other Council services, as well as external contractors and regulators.
Your Experience
* Significant experience in property or building compliance within a complex organisation.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, fire and/or building safety requirements.
* Experience managing statutory inspection, testing and maintenance programmes.
* Experience managing contractors, compliance risks and remedial works.
* The ability to analyse technical information and provide clear advice and assurance to senior managers.
* Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
* A relevant professional or technical qualification in property, engineering, building services, fire safety, health and safety or a related discipline.
