📍 Location: Manchester / North West
📅 Contract: Initial 8-month contract
💷 Rate: £400–£450 per day
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Civils Project Manager to lead a significant civil engineering project in the North West. The scope of works will include bridges, tunnels, drainage and earthworks, so a strong technical understanding of civils is essential.
We’re looking for a civils-biased Project Manager with a background in civil engineering, rail or construction, and proven experience managing complex projects from delivery through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
✅Oversee major civils activities, ensuring safe, timely and high-quality delivery.
✅Manage project programmes, budgets and resources.
✅Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
✅Ensure works are delivered in line with health, safety and quality requirements.
✅Drive project performance and resolve issues effectively.
Ideal Candidate:
✅Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Construction Manager with strong Civils experience.
✅Background in Construction, Civil Engineering or Rail.
✅Experience delivering major civils projects, ideally involving structures, earthworks, drainage or tunnelling.
✅Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, programmes and project controls.
✅Hold your SMSTS
✅CSCS card – Black Manager/Professional level preferred.
✅PTS – desirable for candidates with rail experience.
✅Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
