How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Start Date: 8th September 2026
    Location: Greenwich, London, UK
    Salary: £14.24 – £15.00 per hour

Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Pay is determined in line with school expectations and the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Hours of work: 11.45am – 1.15pm, Monday to Friday (term time only) — a consistent, five-days-a-week lunchtime role.
Great with children and looking for rewarding, term-time work that fits around your day? A friendly primary school in Greenwich needs a caring Lunchtime Supervisor to join their pastoral team.

    About the Role:
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Greenwich for a caring, reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the lunchtime period, five days a week, term time only.
This is a lovely role for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their school day, without needing a background in teaching. Full training and induction will be provided.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Supervising pupils in the dining hall and on the playground during lunchtime
    • Encouraging positive behaviour, good manners and healthy eating habits
    • Organising and supporting structured games and activities
    • Responding calmly and appropriately to minor accidents, incidents or behavioural issues
    • Reporting any safeguarding or welfare concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
    • Working alongside teaching staff and other supervisors as part of a wider pastoral team

    Requirements:

To be eligible for this role and the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:
    • Experience working or volunteering with children is desirable but not essential
    • A calm, patient and approachable manner
    • Confidence managing groups of children in a busy environment
    • The right to work in the UK
    • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one)

    What the School Can Offer:

    • A supportive pastoral team and full induction
    • Regular, consistent hours during term time
    • A friendly, welcoming school community
    • The opportunity to build genuine relationships with pupils
    • Good transport links across Greenwich
