How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Interaction Engineering 

    CNC Miller – Setter / Operator / Programmer

    Location: PE28
    Salary: Competitive – dependent on experience
    Job Type: Full-time

    We are currently looking for an experienced CNC miller / Setter / Operator / Programmer to join our team based in the PE28 area.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC machinist who is looking for a role where their skills and experience are recognised and rewarded. We are particularly interested in candidates who are confident not only operating machinery, but also setting and programming CNC milling machines.

    The Role

    As a CNC miller, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming CNC milling machinery to produce high-quality components to customer specifications and engineering drawings.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Setting and operating CNC miller machines

    Programming CNC machines and making programme amendments where required

    Working with Haas controls

    Setting and operating 4-axis CNC machines

    Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

    Selecting appropriate tooling and setting tools correctly

    Carrying out tool changes and offsets

    Checking finished components using appropriate measuring equipment

    Maintaining accurate dimensions and tolerances throughout production

    Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks

    Identifying and resolving machining issues

    Making adjustments to programmes, speeds, feeds and tooling where necessary

    Working efficiently to production requirements and deadlines

    Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

    Skills & Experience

    The following experience would be advantageous:

    Previous experience as a CNC Miller

    Strong setting and operating experience

    CNC programming experience

    Experience with Haas controls

    Experience with 4-axis machinery

    Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

    Good knowledge of tooling, offsets, speeds and feeds

    Experience measuring components and checking tolerances

    A strong eye for detail and quality

    Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
