Management Accountant

We are currently working with a high-growth business that is entering an exciting period of expansion. As a result of this continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant on an initial six-month contract to provide additional support to the finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant to join a growing business, providing hands-on support across the month-end process, management reporting and wider financial analysis.

The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening the finance function during a period of change and growth, while working closely with both finance and operational stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
Ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
Supporting the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Preparation and analysis of monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow information.
Providing meaningful variance analysis and commentary against budget and forecast.
Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
Working closely with operational teams to understand financial performance and drivers.
Providing financial insight to support commercial and operational decision-making.
Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc analysis and projects during a period of growth.
About You

We are looking for a qualified or part-qualified accountant with strong management accounting experience and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
