How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Company Description
Catch22 exists to help build a society where everyone has a good place to live, good people around them, and a fulfilling purpose. We call these our '3Ps'.
We achieve this in two ways. First, we improve lives on the frontline through delivery of public services. Secondly, we use our knowledge to change 'the system', to fix the complex web that can trap and disempower those it was set up to help. With the heart of a charity and the mindset of a business, we are uniquely placed to deliver on this challenging agenda.
The Catch22 Employability division provides skills and employability provision on a range of programmes, both public and corporate funded. We pride ourselves on supporting the most disadvantaged in society to improve their prospects resulting in improved social mobility and sustainable positive change.
    Job Description
As a Team Leader on our Liverpool Connect to Work programme, you will lead the delivery of a high-quality, person-centred employability service in line with supported employment (SEQF) fidelity models (this role is often referred to as a service manager position).
This role focuses on enabling people with disabilities, learning difficulties/disabilities, neurodiverse conditions, mental health challenges or individuals from disadvantaged and complex backgrounds to prepare for, secure and sustain meaningful paid employment aligned with their goals, while promoting inclusion, independence and long-term wellbeing.
You will manage and develop a team of Employment Specialists, ensuring excellent service delivery, strong performance and positive participant experiences. The role is to motivate and support a dedicated and professional operational team to deliver a high-quality service in line with SEQF fidelity, drive referrals, support participants to achieve their employment aspirations, meet performance expectations, ensure compliance across all requirements and achieve high levels of service standards and accreditations, while contributing to the wider organisational growth strategy.
    Key duties:
    * Lead a team to deliver person-centred employability support that helps people achieve sustainable employment, education and training outcomes.
    * Drive service quality, performance and compliance, ensuring delivery meets contractual requirements
    * Develop strong relationships with employers, commissioners and partner organisations to create opportunities and maximise positive outcomes.
    * Coach, support and motivate staff to achieve their potential, embed best practice and contribute to Catch22's mission of creating positive social change.
    Qualifications
We will need you to have:
    * Five GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above
    * Relevant professional qualification relevant to employability or a related field
    * Operational Management experience in performance driven SEQF, IPS or ‘Place, Train and Maintain’ employability services
    * Experience of working with commissioners / external partners
    Desirable Criteria:
    * Understanding of welfare benefits and employment legislation
    * Knowledge of SEQF fidelity scale
    * Experience of leading service improvement or quality assurance activities
    Benefits
    * Accredited SEQF level 3 qualification - delivered by The Busy Group
    * 28 days annual leave + bank holidays, rising to 33 days with service.
    * Pension scheme with matching contributions of up to 4%
    * Access to discounted shopping opportunities and employee assistance programme
Unless otherwise stated, interviews will be arranged as suitable candidates are identified, so early application is strongly advised.
We aim to review applications as quickly as possible. However, due to the volume ofinterest we receive, we may not be able to contact all applicants individually. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of the closing date, please assume that your application has not been successful this time.
At Catch22 we value equality, diversity and inclusion. We are wholeheartedly committed to the principle of equality of opportunity, both as an employer and as a provider of services. Diversity and Inclusion is part of what we do every day, working to deliver our vision to build a strong society where everyone has good people around them, a purpose, and a good place to live.
Catch22 is committed to rigorous safeguarding and safer recruitment practices; ensuring that every individual within the organisation has been safely and appropriately checked.
