How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Head of Marketing
    Stevenage, Hertfordshire
    Up to £59,600 per annum DOE
    Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

    Lead Marketing That Makes a Difference An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic Head of Marketing to join a well-established, purpose-driven organisation with a strong national and international presence. This pivotal role will lead the operational marketing function, ensuring campaigns are planned, developed and delivered effectively across multiple channels. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will transform organisational priorities into engaging marketing activity that drives awareness, engagement and measurable results.
    This position would suit an experienced marketing leader who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and is passionate about creating campaigns that inspire action.
    Key Responsibilities
    Lead the planning and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, events and content channels.
    Ensure all campaigns are effectively briefed, resourced, delivered and evaluated.
    Translate audience insights and organisational objectives into compelling marketing activity.
    Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments to maximise campaign impact and engagement.
    Monitor, analyse and optimise campaign performance using data and insight.
    Manage budgets, resources and operational priorities to ensure successful delivery.
    Lead, motivate and develop a marketing team to achieve high levels of performance.
    Maintain brand consistency and quality across all marketing communications.
    Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Candidate Profile
    The successful candidate will have:
    Significant experience within a senior marketing leadership role.
    A proven track record of delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
    Strong leadership and people management experience.
    Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
    The ability to think strategically whilst maintaining operational focus.
    Strong project management and organisational skills.
    Experience using data and insight to drive decision-making and campaign performance.
    A proactive, collaborative and results-driven approach. Experience within the charity, non-profit or purpose-led sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
