HV Cable Jointer

We are recruiting for an experienced HV Cable Jointer to join a team delivering high voltage jointing works across DNO, private network and rail infrastructure projects. This is a hands-on role for a jointer with a strong track record in both XLPE and fluid filled (paper insulated lead covered) cable jointing at 33kV.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out HV cable jointing, termination and repair works up to and including 33kV

* Work across a mix of DNO, private network, and rail infrastructure projects

* Undertake jointing on both XLPE and fluid filled (PILC) cable types

* Carry out cable fault location, testing and repair as required

* Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant safety rules, technical specifications, and client standards

* Complete accurate documentation, permits to work, and job records

* Liaise with site supervisors, project engineers, and client representatives

* Work safely within excavations, substations and live operational environments

* Adhere to CDM regulations and site-specific health and safety requirements

Requirements

* Proven experience as an HV Cable Jointer working at 33kV

* Demonstrable experience with both XLPE and fluid filled cable jointing

* Experience working across DNO, private network, and rail sector projects

* Relevant jointing qualifications/competency (e.g. NRSWA, ECS/JIB card, relevant HV jointing certification)

* Full UK driving licence

* Strong understanding of safe systems of work and HV safety rules

* Willingness to travel to sites as required

* Rail sector candidates: relevant rail safety qualifications (e.g. PTS) desirable
