About the Role
Are you confident, adaptable and passionate about supporting young people in their education?
Spencer Clarke Group is currently working with a range of supportive secondary schools across Preston who are seeking reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to provide continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You'll supervise students, deliver pre-set work and help maintain a positive, focused and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise classes in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
Ensure pupils remain engaged, focused and on task throughout the lesson.
Support students with their learning across a range of subjects and year groups.
Report back to teaching staff on student progress, behaviour and any issues arising during the lesson.
Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.What We're Looking For
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Experience working with children or young people is preferred, but not essential.
Confidence supervising and engaging groups of secondary-aged students.
The ability to remain calm, adaptable and professional in a classroom environment.
A genuine interest in education and supporting young people's development.
