How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Electrician

    Location: Harlow CM20
    Hours: Full time, Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm
    Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum, depending on experience
    Job Type: Permanent

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Electrician to join our client’s successful field-based team.

    Who are they?

    Our client provides planned and reactive electrical maintenance services across a wide range of environments, including domestic, commercial and industrial sites.

    This is a varied role for an experienced electrician who enjoys working across different sites and dealing with a broad range of electrical maintenance, repair and installation work. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent standards of health and safety and customer service.

    Duties of an Electrical Maintenance Electrician

    Carry out planned and reactive electrical servicing, maintenance and repair work across customer sites.
    Diagnose electrical faults and identify the root cause before carrying out appropriate repairs.
    Undertake three-phase electrical maintenance and repairs.
    Install, replace and upgrade electrical equipment, including distribution boards, lighting, switches and sockets.
    Carry out electrical motor and pump installations.
    Maintain and test emergency lighting systems and associated safety equipment.
    Complete testing, fault finding and minor electrical installation works.
    Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
    Record completed works, materials used and job outcomes accurately.
    Communicate professionally with customers and provide a high standard of customer service.
    Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements.
    Work independently while managing multiple jobs and priorities effectively.
    Support the wider operational team when required.
    Participate in relevant training and ongoing professional development.

    What we would like from you

    Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
    Current Wiring Regulations qualification to the latest edition.
    Practical experience in three-phase electrical maintenance and repair.
    Experience working with domestic, commercial and/or industrial electrical systems.
    Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
    Ability to work confidently and independently across multiple customer sites.
    Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical information.
    Good organisational skills with accurate record-keeping and attention to detail.
    Professional and confident customer-facing manner.
    Reliable, dependable and positive approach to work.
    Full UK driving licence with at least 12 months’ driving experience.

    Desirable

    AM2 competency assessment.
