How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Assistant Site Manager / Site Supervisor | Permanent | Nr Haywards Heath
    Permanent | Starts October 2026

    £25m+ Town Centre Regeneration Scheme
We’re looking for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager / Site Supervisor to join an experienced site team on a major town centre regeneration scheme near Haywards Heath.
The project starts with a substantial phased demolition and enabling programme across a constrained town-centre site, including commercial buildings, a multi-storey car park and a considerable amount of existing services and utility diversions to work through.
Once the early works are complete, the scheme moves into piling and construction of a new supermarket with a 100+ bed hotel above, alongside retail space, external works and car parking.

You’ll work closely with the Senior Site Manager, taking ownership of:

    Site inductions
    Reviewing and managing RAMS
Health & safety paperwork and compliance
    Subcontractor coordination
    Site logistics
Supporting the demolition and enabling works before moving into the main buildThere will be paperwork. Quite a lot of it and your daily steps will reach decent levels...

But this isn’t intended to be a role where you spend the next two years simply becoming known as “the RAMS person.”
As the project moves through piling, structure, façade and finishes, the management team will expand and there will be genuine scope to take on more responsibility.

    We’re looking for:
Experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor
Main contractor / commercial construction experience
    Relevant NVQ and site qualifications
    Good organisational and communication skills
    Confidence dealing with subcontractors
A genuine ambition to progress into a Site Manager roleSalary: £40,000–£50,000 basic / travel allowance + package, depending on experience.

This would suit somebody who has a track record with reputable principal contractors, wants exposure to a proper mixed-use redevelopment and the chance to learn the whole job — not just one package.

    For a discreet conversation:
