How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    BMS Sales Manager

    Data Centre Sector

    £80,000 - £100,000 + Bonus Scheme + Company Car/Allowance + Enhanced Pension

An established and highly respected UK BMS business is continuing to expand its presence within the Data Centre market and is looking for an experienced BMS Sales Manager to join the team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven BMS professional who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and winning new business. You'll play a key role in developing the company's Data Centre division, working with major end users, consultants and contractors across some of the UK's most technically demanding projects.

The role is heavily focused on new business development, with responsibility for identifying opportunities, developing relationships and taking projects through to successful award. You'll also manage a select number of strategic existing accounts and identify opportunities for further growth.

    Responsibilities

Take ownership of new business development across the UK Data Centre BMS market
Identify upcoming projects and engage with key stakeholders early in the sales cycle
Build and maintain strong relationships with Data Centre operators, developers, consultants, main contractors and specialist subcontractors
Develop opportunities from initial enquiry through to tender, negotiation and contract award
Research the market to identify new accounts, projects and potential revenue streams
Work closely with technical and project teams to ensure proposed solutions are commercially viable and aligned with customer requirements
Review project specifications, drawings and control requirements to establish the appropriate BMS scope
Develop quotations, proposals and presentations tailored to individual customer requirements
Maintain regular contact with existing customers while actively expanding the company's client base
Contribute to the wider commercial strategy and continued expansion of the Data Centre division

    Desired Experience

Previous experience in a BMS, controls or building automation sales environment
Demonstrable success in winning new business rather than purely managing existing accounts
Strong technical knowledge of BMS systems, controls and associated building services
Comfortable discussing BMS solutions with both technical and commercial stakeholders
Established network within the Data Centre, M&E, construction or building services market would be advantageous
Experience selling into consultants, contractors, end users or Data Centre operators
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships at multiple levels
