How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Maintenance Engineer - Maintenance Electrician

    An excellent opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to join a proactive manufacturing maintenance team. This is a hands-on role in a production facility responsible for keeping production plant, machinery and site services reliable and operational, responding to breakdowns and delivering planned and reactive maintenance.

    For this role you will be an experienced Electrician / Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a City & Guilds qualification or equivalent and experience working with industrial factory machinery or manufacturing equipment.

    Location - Staffordshire

    Salary - £42K to £45k - 40 hours per week - 5% employer pension contribution - Employee life insurance - Cycle to work scheme - On-site parking - Progressive pay structure - Career Development

    Shift Pattern

    4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern - no nights

    Shift 1: 06:00-16:00 / Shift 2: 12:00-22:00

    Weekend shifts are 10 hours, starting at 06:00, 07:00 or 08:00, depending on the rota.

    The Role

    As a Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will:

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
    Maintain, repair and troubleshoot a range of industrial plant and machinery.
    Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimise production downtime.
    Complete electrical maintenance, fault finding and engineering tasks.
    Support production and management to maintain equipment reliability and output.
    Follow health & safety procedures and complete required maintenance documentation.
    Work as part of a flexible, supportive maintenance and engineering team.About You

    Ideally, you will have:

    City & Guilds electrical qualification - 18th Edition certification - preferred but not essential.
    Experience with electrical fault-finding plant maintenance and industrial machinery.
    Hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance experience - advantageous.
    Good IT and maintenance systems experience.
    Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.How to Apply
