How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    At Beagle Aircraft, we're a leading aerospace manufacturer producing precision-engineered components for some of the world's leading aerospace programmes.

    We're investing in the future of our manufacturing operations through the implementation of MRP within our ERP platform, and we're looking for an experienced SQL Developer with a manufacturing ERP/MRP background to play a key role in this business-critical project.

    Please note this is a 4-month Fixed Term Contract.

    What We're Looking For

    This is not primarily a Data Warehousing, BI or reporting role. We're looking for someone with hands-on Microsoft SQL Server development and/or database administration experience, combined with experience working with ERP or MRP systems within manufacturing, engineering or aerospace.

    You'll need to understand manufacturing data such as BOMs, routings, inventory, production orders and MRP.

    A relevant Microsoft SQL certification is highly desirable, while previous experience with SYSPRO ERP would be a significant advantage.

    Due to the short-term and project-critical nature of the contract, we're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.

    What We Offer

    * Competitive salary

    * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)

    * Company pension and healthcare benefits

    * Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

    * Holiday Purchase Scheme and Birthday Leave

    * Long service awards and free onsite parking

    * Career development opportunities

    * Opportunity to contribute directly to a major ERP/MRP transformation project

    The Role

    Reporting to the Project Lead, you'll take ownership of the SQL and database workstream supporting the implementation of MRP within our ERP system.

    Working closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering and Operations, you'll develop and administer SQL solutions, support data migration and reconciliation, troubleshoot database and data-integrity issues and ensure manufacturing data is accurate and ready for go-live.

    This is a hands-on technical position combining SQL development, database administration and manufacturing ERP/MRP data.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Develop, maintain and support Microsoft SQL Server databases, including T-SQL scripts, queries and database solutions

    * Perform SQL Server administration, including backup, restore and troubleshooting

    * Support ERP data migration, cleansing, validation, reconciliation and master data activities

    * Investigate and resolve SQL, database and data-integrity issues

    * Work with manufacturing data including BOMs, routings, inventory, production orders and MRP

    * Support ERP testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and MRP validation

    * Produce technical documentation, change logs and project records

    * Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering and Operations throughout implementation

    About You

    You'll have strong commercial experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including hands-on SQL development and/or database administration.

    You'll also need experience working with ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing, engineering or aerospace environment, ideally supporting an ERP implementation, MRP project or significant business-system change.

    You'll understand manufacturing master data including BOMs, routings, inventory and production orders, with experience of data migration, validation and reconciliation.

    Strong SQL troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential.

    Highly desirable experience includes Microsoft SQL certification, SYSPRO ERP, previous MRP implementation experience, aerospace or precision manufacturing, and Power BI/reporting.

    Why Join Beagle Aircraft?

    This is an opportunity to play a key technical role in a business-critical manufacturing transformation project.

    You'll work directly with our operational teams and use your SQL Server, ERP/MRP and manufacturing knowledge to help deliver a successful implementation.

    If you're an experienced SQL Developer, SQL Database Developer, ERP SQL Developer or ERP/MRP Specialist with a manufacturing background, we'd love to hear from you
