How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    As a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor in the retail industry, you'll play a key role in managing costs and budgets for construction projects, ensuring they stay on track and within budget. This position focuses on private consultancy work, including office fit-outs, refurbishments, and both pre- and post-contract cost planning.

    Description

    Manage pre- and post-contract cost planning processes for construction projects.
    Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and cost reports.
    Monitor budgets and control project costs to ensure financial objectives are met.
    Provide accurate cost estimates for office fit-outs and refurbishment projects.
    Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost management and value engineering.
    Conduct risk assessments and advise on potential cost implications.
    Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
    Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Profile

    A successful Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor should have:

    Experience in a private consultancy background.
    Strong pre- and post-contract cost planning skills.
    Knowledge of office fit-out and refurbishment projects within the retail sector.
    Ideally, MRICS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
