How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MULTI-SKILLED ACCIDENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN
    Location: Chesterfield
    Salary: From £40,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As a Multi-Skilled Accident Repair Technician, you will work as part of an experienced bodyshop team undertaking a variety of accident repair duties. Your versatility will be key, with the opportunity to utilise skills across MET, Panel, Paint, SMART and general bodyshop repair processes.

    The role would suit a technician who enjoys variety, takes pride in their workmanship and wants to continue developing their technical abilities within a professional accident repair environment.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Carry out accident repair work across multiple areas of the bodyshop
    ·Undertake MET strip and refit work and light mechanical duties where required
    ·Complete panel repairs, dent repairs and replacement of damaged components
    ·Carry out vehicle preparation, painting, polishing and finishing work where required
    ·Undertake SMART repair techniques and minor cosmetic repairs
    ·Work closely with Panel, MET, Paint and Workshop teams to ensure efficient vehicle throughput
    ·Complete all repairs to a high standard while following manufacturer repair methods and quality standards
    ·Maintain a clean, safe and professional working environment in line with Health & Safety requirements

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for a highly experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Technician with a background in automotive accident repair and the ability to work confidently across several areas of the bodyshop.

    ·Proven experience within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
    ·Strong background in MET, Panel, Paint and/or SMART repair
    ·Multi-skilled approach with the ability to undertake a variety of repair duties
    ·Strong understanding of accident repair processes and vehicle construction
    ·Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
    ·Ability to work efficiently to deadlines and production requirements
    ·Conscientious, reliable and professionally presented
    ·Strong team player with excellent communication skills
    ·Willingness to continue learning and developing technical skills
    ·IMI / ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
