What You’ll Do
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you’ll support the finance function with day-to-day activities, including:
· Processing supplier invoices, staff expenses and purchase orders accurately and on time
· Reconciliation of supplier statements
· Preparing and processing weekly bacs payment runs
· Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
· Ensuring all invoices are approved in line with procedures
· Dealing with internal and external stakeholders
· Supporting month-end tasks, including journals, reconciliations
· Compile Payment Practices reporting
· Maintaining accurate financial records and helping prepare internal reports
· Handling finance queries from project teams and suppliers, providing excellent service
· Supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
· Contributing to a collaborative finance team and supporting colleagues during peak periods
What We’re Looking For
· Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger role
· Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
· Confidence using finance systems and Excel (VLOOKUPs/Pivot Tables a plus)
· A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work to deadlines
· Excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach
