We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established engineering business based in West Yorkshire.
The company designs and manufactures specialist engineered products and containment solutions used across highly regulated industries. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a business where they can be involved in projects from initial concept through to manufacture.
The Role
You will be joining an experienced engineering team and will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of a range of specialist equipment and engineered systems.
* Producing 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings
* Designing mechanical components, assemblies and systems
* Taking designs from initial concept through to manufacture
* Working on new product development and existing product improvements
* Producing bills of materials and supporting technical documentation
* Working closely with manufacturing and production teams
* Supporting projects throughout the design and build process
* Ensuring designs meet customer and project requirements
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar position
* Strong 3D CAD experience
* Autodesk Inventor experience would be preferred
* Candidates using other 3D CAD packages will also be considered
* Good understanding of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes
* Experience producing detailed drawings for manufacture
* Ability to design mechanical assemblies and components
* Experience with containment systems, cleanroom equipment, special purpose machinery or similar engineered products would be advantageous
