How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    MULTI-SKILLED PANEL BEATER
    Location: Yeovil
    Salary: From £45,000 Depending on Experience
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
    Hours: Monday - Friday - 08:30 - 17:00

    THE ROLE
    As a Multi-Skilled Panel Beater, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality structural and cosmetic repairs to accident-damaged vehicles, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to manufacturer and industry standards.

    Working as part of an experienced bodyshop team, you'll use your technical expertise to restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition while maintaining excellent standards of workmanship and productivity.

    Key Responsibilities:
    ·Carry out structural and cosmetic repairs to accident-damaged vehicles
    ·Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair methods
    ·Remove, repair and replace damaged panels and body components
    ·Carry out welding, cutting, bonding and panel alignment where required
    ·Repair and reshape panels using appropriate tools and techniques
    ·Work closely with MET Technicians, Paint Technicians, Preppers and Workshop Controllers
    ·Complete repairs within agreed production times and quality standards
    ·Follow manufacturer repair methods, Health & Safety procedures and bodyshop standards

    ABOUT YOU
    We're looking for an experienced and technically skilled Multi-Skilled Panel Beater who takes pride in delivering high-quality repairs and can confidently work across a range of modern vehicles.

    ·Proven experience as a Panel Beater within an automotive accident repair centre or bodyshop
    ·Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and modern repair techniques
    ·Experienced in structural and non-structural accident repairs
    ·Confident carrying out panel replacement, repair, alignment and welding
    ·Strong understanding of manufacturer repair methods
    ·Able to work efficiently to agreed repair times and KPIs
    ·Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
    ·Ability to work independently and as part of an experienced team
    ·Conscientious, reliable and professional approach
    ·IMI and/or ATA qualifications advantageous
    ·Full UK Driving Licence preferred
